And yes, creeping into the top ten are yours truly, Tim and Jon, sitting in 8th and 9th place - watch out for us! :p

RACE RECAP

Following the soggy chaos of Leogang, we had the opposite conditions in Switzerland, with the summer heat wave in full swing and a bone-dry track to contend with.

Now, we’re not going to call ourselves fortune tellers, but in our Race Preview, we mentioned 10 riders across the men’s and women’s categories to look out for and of those 10, five made it onto podium places, six of them finished in the top five and eight finished in the top ten. Not bad eh?!*

In the men’s, Finn Iles has done it again! He had an incredibly smooth and consistent run, beating Amaury Pierron by half a second, and Asa Vermette making it into third.

In the women’s, as we hinted at in the preview, Lenzerheide just isn’t Vali Höll’s favourite track and she only managed a 10th place, 5 seconds off the pace. Anna Newkirk was on fire and got her very first World Cup win, followed by Swiss local Lisa Baumann and Gloria Scarsi

We’ve got a week off to cool down, before we head to La Thuile in Italy and the way things are shaping up, we can’t bloody wait!

*Alright, we made one mistake and said Jess Blewitt wouldn’t be racing... she did and she came 7th, sorry Jess!

See you for the next one!
